Reservations & Visiting FAQs
Who needs a wristband?
The Funplex is an admissions-based park, and all guests over 36" are required to have a wristband to enter.
Can a guest cancel or reschedule a reservation?
To reschedule a reservation, kindly bring your confirmation email on the new day you'd like to attend, and we'll honor your tickets for that day. Please note that tickets are valid within the current season. Additionally, ensure you bring a valid ID matching the credit card used for the reservation.
Can reservations be transferred from one guest to another?
Reservations are specific to the person who placed the reservation for the family or group. They cannot be transferred and the person who purchased the reservation must show proof of ID and credit card used for the purchase upon arrival.
Am I allowed to leave and return to the park?
For the safety of our guests at this time we are not allowing re-entry into The Funplex.
What is your weather policy?
Bad Weather Policy: The Funplex offers many activities that are amazingly fun in any kind of weather — including rides inside and outside, a waterpark, bowling, and plenty of arcade games. Guest safety is our number one priority. There are certain weather circumstances that may cause parts of the park to close earlier than scheduled or not open at all. If rain, wind or electrical storms force us to close certain rides for your safety, they will re-open as soon as safe operations can be assured.
The Funplex will issue a complimentary return ticket to enjoy the park another day if a power failure or inclement weather causes the shutdown of outdoor attractions for more than 120 minutes at a time. You must present your original Funplex receipt with the correct date to the Admissions Desk in order to receive a free return ticket. Tickets are non-refundable.

What is the Funplex Code of Conduct?
All guests visiting The Funplex Amusement Center must follow the Guest Code of Conduct, guests are required to comply with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as individual amusement center policies, rules and instructions posted or otherwise listed.
Is there a dress code?
The Funplex is a family-friendly facility, only appropriate attire and swimwear will be permitted. The Funplex management reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of guests' clothing. No excessively revealing, vulgar, or offensive clothing and swimwear will be permitted, including thong and "cheeky" bathing suits, and may result in removal from the park. For your safety the following is not permitted while swimming in the waterpark or riding the waterslides: cargo pants, denim shorts or cut-offs, undergarments (sports bras unless designed to go in water, underwear, or boxers), non-coast guard approved floatation devices, shoes or socks. Aqua shoes are not permitted on waterslides.
Can I wear my swimsuit on the rides?
To ensure all guests visiting The Funplex can safely enjoy their visit, swimsuits are not allowed on the dry attractions. All park guests must wear proper attire when participating on the dry attractions including shirts, shorts/pants, and appropriate footwear, at all times.
Is smoking permitted?
The Funplex is a smoke-free environment. This policy includes all forms of e-cigarettes and other products that produce a vapor or smoke
Can I bring food?
Outside food, coolers, and grills are not allowed, except for specific food allergies or infant food in non-glass jars in a personal lunch sized bag.
Can I bring my pets?
With the exception of service dogs, all animals are prohibited at the Funplex.
Can I bring my selfie stick?
The use of “selfie sticks” is prohibited.
Can I save a space in line for my friend?
Guests are not permitted to save places in line, bypass others in line, exit the line and return to the same place for any reason. Guests exiting the line must go to the back of the line if they choose to return.
What items are prohibited?
The Funplex Amusement Center reserves the right to inspect all bags, boxes, backpacks or handbags. The following items are not permitted at The Funplex:
Glass bottles or Containers
Knives or Chains
Firearms and Ammunition
Fireworks and Explosives
Chemical weapon, including mace and pepper spray
Magic Markers, Spray Paint, and Aerosol cans
Selfie Sticks, Monopods, and similar devices
Lawn chairs and folding chairs
Unmanned aerial vehicles (drones)
No tubes or any flotation items
Mermaid Tails in the pool
Safety is our #1 concern and a shared responsibility. All guests are welcome to enjoy the Funplex Amusement Center for all it has to offer. Our Team will work hard to ensure that all guests do their part in making this a fun and memorable experience.
Waterpark FAQs
What are the operating hours of the waterpark?
The waterpark operates daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with hours from 10am to 7:30pm. For any special hours, please visit our hours page.
Are there changing rooms and lockers available?
Yes, the waterpark provides changing rooms and locker facilities for your convenience. You can use the changing rooms to switch into your swimwear, and the locker facilities allow you to securely store your belongings while you enjoy the attractions.
How much are lockers?
For the whole day, small lockers are available for $15, and large lockers can be rented for $20.
Do you provide life jackets?
Yes, we do provide life jackets at the waterpark. While they may not be mandatory for all attractions, they are strongly recommended for certain ones to ensure safety, especially for non-swimmers or those less comfortable in the water.
Can I bring my own inflatable tubes or floaties?
No, for safety reasons, bringing your own inflatable tubes or floaties is not permitted in the waterpark. We provide approved and safe equipment to ensure a controlled and secure environment for all visitors.
Are there height or weight restrictions for certain water slides?
Yes, there may be height or weight restrictions for certain water slides. For specific details and guidelines, please visit the attractions section of the Splashplex Waterpark page.
Can I bring my own camera or GoPro on the waterslides?
No, for safety reasons, bringing your own camera or GoPro is not allowed on the slides. This policy is in place to prevent any potential hazards or distractions that could compromise the safety of both you and other visitors.
Are there first aid stations or medical personnel on-site?
Yes, we have dedicated first aid stations on-site, and our waterpark is staffed with trained medical personnel. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities. In the event of any medical concerns or emergencies, our experienced personnel are ready to provide prompt assistance and ensure that you receive the necessary care.
Membership FAQs
How does the All-Year Membership work?
What are the perks of an All-Year Membership?
With an All Year Membership, you can enjoy unlimited visits to the park, granting you access to exclusive in-park events. Members receive a 10% discount on food and beverages, as well as a 20% discount on single-day wristbands. For those looking to relax in style, there's a 15% discount on weekday cabana rentals and party bookings. Additionally, members can take advantage of six Buddy Days throughout the year, with three designated dates during the off-season. You’ll also benefit from a 10% discount on merchandise and a special 20% discount on the Summer Souvenir Cup.
What do I do if I bought a membership as a gift?
If someone bought memberships online and gifted them to another person, the recipient must present valid ID matching the credit card user when redeeming the online-purchased memberships.
When are the buddy days?
2025 Buddy Days will be announced in Spring 2025.

Summer Season Pass FAQs
How does the Summer Season Pass work?
A Summer Season Pass is valid from Memorial Day through Labor Day. You can use your pass each day the park is open.
What are the perks of the Summer Season Pass?
With this pass, you'll enjoy unlimited park visits throughout the summer season, along with access to exclusive in-park events. Passholders receive a 10% discount on food and beverages, as well as a 10% discount on single-day wristbands for friends or family. If you're looking to relax in style, take advantage of the 15% discount on weekday cabana rentals. The pass also includes three Buddy Days on set dates, allowing you to bring a friend for free. Additionally, you'll receive a 10% discount on merchandise throughout the park, helping you save on souvenirs and other items during your visits.
How does the weekday Cabana Rental Discount work?
Reservations are required in advance to secure a discounted cabana. Please call our Party Office at (973) 428-1166 for availability.
When are the buddy days?
2025 Buddy Days will be announced in Spring 2025.
Birthday Party FAQs
What is included in my party?
Each party includes balloons, paper products, a dedicated party host and set-up and clean up. You may bring and set up additional decorations if desired. You will have access to your party room or table 15 minutes prior to your room time.
Does the package include invites?
No, unfortunately we do not include invites.
What can I expect from my Funplex party?
Your guests will explore the activities and games you have selected for your party. From there, everyone will regroup at the party table or party room, to enjoy food, beverages, and cupcakes. Once the kids are finished eating, they can continue to enjoy the activities until the end of your party time.
How long is my party?
Pick 3 parties will last 2.5 hours, the Ultimate Party lasts 3 hours and the VIP Ultimate party will last 4 hours. With the Pick 3 you will have a table for the first 1.5 hours of the party and with the Ultimate and VIP Ultimate, your room for 2 hours.
When do I need to let you know the final guest count?
We will contact you 2 days before your event to finalize your guest head count, food, and any other add-ons. This will guarantee adequate table/room size and an appropriate number of hosts. We also recommend that you provide a guest list so our party check-in can aid in making your event seamless!
Do I have to pay for adults coming to the party?
(10) party parents are included complimentary with all packages. Any additional adults that are interested in participating will need to be paid for; prices will vary based on your package. Any adults that are not interested in participating get free admission.
How and when do I pay for my party?
Your final balance, head count and food orders are due a minimum of 2 days before your event. Accepted payment methods are credit card or cash.
My host was excellent how do I tip them?
A 10% gratuity is automatically applied to all parties. If you would like to tip in addition to the 10% you may do so by cash or card.
When should I arrive for my party?
Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes early to your event.
Can I bring in any food?
No outside food or beverages are permitted with the exception of cake or cupcakes. The Funplex does not allow ice cream or ice cream cakes.
Do you have a restaurant/bar?
Yes! We have two indoor cafes, the PitStop and Boardwalk cafes as well as a seasonal outdoor café, Sharkey’s. We have The Surfside Bar located in The Boardwalk.
What is your policy for leaving a deposit?
A valid credit is needed to guarantee your reservations. We require a 50% deposit to book, your final headcount and final payment are due 2 days before your party.
What is the rain policy for parties?
In the event of rain we will reach out to see if you would like to reschedule the date or move to an indoor event. The Splashplex only closes if lightening is within 5 miles and once the lightening passes, Splashplex will reopen.
