Sensory-Friendly World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ at The Funplex East Hanover
Due to an overwhelming community response, registration for the June 25 Sensory-Friendly swimming lesson is full. However, families are encouraged to sign up for the wait list below. Wait list registrants will be notified if spots open and prioritized for any future sensory-friendly swimming events held at the Funplex.
For the past 15 years, the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ has helped families around the world learn the importance of water safety. This year, The Funplex East Hanover is proud to continue that mission by offering a dedicated Sensory-Friendly Swim Lesson, creating a more welcoming and supportive way for children of all abilities to participate in this global water safety initiative.
Building on our history of hosting sensory-friendly events at the park, we’re excited to bring that same thoughtful approach to the water. Special accommodations have been planned to help make WLSL day more comfortable, inclusive, and enjoyable for our community.
What to Expect:
- Sensory-Friendly Swim Lesson: Participants will take part in a 30-minute group lesson in The Island pool, a reserved and welcoming space for sensory-friendly swimmers.
- Supportive Instruction: Swim instructors are trained and experienced in providing sensory-friendly interactions and instruction, helping swimmers build comfort and confidence at their own pace.
- Free Participation & Parent Admission: The swim lesson is completely free, and one parent or adult chaperone per registered child will receive free admission to the water park during the lesson time.
- Extend the Fun: Families can enjoy $10 off admission to The Funplex after their child’s lesson.
