The Funplex is excited to announce a dedicated Sensory Morning on Sunday, March 23rd, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, designed to provide a welcoming and inclusive experience for families with autism and sensory sensitivities.
Recognizing the importance of creating accessible entertainment for all, The Funplex will transform its environment to offer a sensory-friendly atmosphere. During the Sensory Morning, guests can expect:
✓ Softened Lighting: Reduced brightness to minimize visual stimulation.
✓ Reduced Noise: Lowered volume levels throughout the park to create a calmer environment.
✓ Sensory Room: A dedicated quiet space for guests who need a break from the activity.
✓ Supportive Staff: Trained staff members will be on hand to provide assistance and ensure a comfortable experience.
“We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the excitement and fun of The Funplex,” said Adam Heiser, Funplex Mount Laurel General Manager. “Our Sensory Morning is a step towards making our park more accessible and enjoyable for families with sensory needs. We want everyone to have a great time.”
Tickets for the Sensory Morning are priced at $30 per participant. Each ticket includes one free chaperone, and additional chaperones can join for $10 each. Chaperones are welcome to accompany children on rides.
As an added bonus, Sensory Morning ticket holders can stay and play all day! The Funplex will remain open until 9:00 pm, allowing families to continue their fun-filled day after the event concludes at 11:00 am.
